i am currently in the middle of doing a 1jz swap into a 1982 celica supra. i waqs just getting ready to make a custom oilpan when someone told me that the cressida oilpan is a front sump which is what i need in order to not have to modify the crossmember too much. any info would be great. thanks mike.

Theres like eleventy billion cressidas at junkyards across the country. Im sure you could swing one for not very much. I have no idea what its going to take custom wise, but instead of modifying the crossmember, id rather modify the pan itself. A custom pan should not be too hard to make.

Why not try the Aristo upper and lower pan from a 2JZ-GTE? It has the front sump.
