Ive heard there is a way to full flow the case on the type 1s without taking the motor out/apart but noone I know seems to know how. I have the pump, cover, lines, and oil filter adapter but was waiting for the next rebuild to drill and tap the case. Anyone know how this is done so I can improve the oil system now?

If you plan on a full flow system you have to drill & tap the case at the oil return passage near the pump, therefore you run the risk of getting metal pieces into the oil passage. Also it is difficult to drive the plug into the oil pump hole with the case together. It can be done w/o splitting the case, but it much safer to do while it's apart.
