Turbo questionGWInquisitor14 05-07-2004, 03:28 PM Would this be a good turbo for a H23 engine. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33742&item=2477065081&rd=1 I was thinking of getting a rebuilt turbo just because they are a little bit cheaper and i wont be running that much boost. If this is a bad turbo, please explain or if going w/ the rebuilt is bad also, explain. I dont know much about all the sizing numbers, just that i want an A/R around .65. I remember seeing that was good boosted331 05-07-2004, 04:47 PM Looks like a straight T4 to me, you don't want it. It also has an exhaust A/R ratio of 1.00. You would want something that is a .63 A/R T3 housing. GWInquisitor14 05-08-2004, 12:41 AM would would the difference be between the T4 and T3, also is there a big difference between a T25 and those? boosted331 05-08-2004, 12:53 AM would would the difference be between the T4 and T3, also is there a big difference between a T25 and those? The T4 housing is much, much larger than a T3 housing. Larger wheels, usually larger A/R ratios, and you need a different turbo manifold. A T3 is quite a bit bigger than a T25, and a typical T04E is a lot bigger than a T25. GWInquisitor14 05-08-2004, 01:24 AM so theres a difference between a T4 and a T04? Does the sizing go T25, then T3 then T4, so its like a number thing? but 25 is 2.5... GWInquisitor14 05-11-2004, 03:20 PM What about this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33742&item=2478344676&rd=1 Do you want the larger, T4, to be the exhaust side or the compressor side? GWInquisitor14 05-11-2004, 03:26 PM It looks like that one has the larger exhaust side, that wont spool up as quick. I know turbonetics makes their t3/t4s w/ a larger compressor side and the exhaust side is smaller. GWInquisitor14 06-01-2004, 03:32 PM Bump Ive found another turbo that might be good, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33742&item=2480826115&rd=1 Check it out and lemme know what you think, if it is bad, tell me why. vtec92civic 06-02-2004, 05:27 PM don't bother with those turbos. Do the research on that :) Those turbos have been known to crap out a lot. A buddy of mine baught one and within a couple weeks the seals were shot and leaked oil. Do yourself a favor and just get a good new turbo or a good used turbo that you know has good quality behind the name. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
