Cool articles....mini magic 05-06-2004, 10:40 PM thanks to the people @ Jabbas world: http://www.jabbasworld.net/viewtopic.php?t=8573 http://www.jabbasworld.net/viewtopic.php?t=10465 Peloton25 05-06-2004, 10:50 PM Cool - I have never seen the first one but it looks to be a good one. The second one I have a copy of and of course have read many times, but I was still hoping that someone would scan it. >8^) ER McLaren Mike 05-07-2004, 08:44 PM In the first article, they have a 3/4 shot of a GT and call it a GTR, anyone have higher res? -Mike:aus: Peloton25 05-07-2004, 08:54 PM I saw that too, but I have never seen that shot of the F1 GT or any like it before. http://a4.cpimg.com/image/4A/7E/33295434-bd78-00A8006E-.jpg It's a shame there are so few good photos of this car. >8^) ER MalkaJB 05-07-2004, 11:45 PM Not the same shots, but a couple of good ones... http://www.tu5j4.com/%20MCLARENF1/F1GT_01.JPG http://www.plus4.freeserve.co.uk/macf1/mac010.jpg Peloton25 05-08-2004, 08:54 PM I really liked that shot of the F1 and F50 from the first article, and even though the photographer shot it with a red filter overpowering most of the color, I still thought it would make a great wallpaper candidate. I spent about an hour pasting the two pages together and filling in the line that was missing. I also cleaned up some of the scanning fragments and took out the captions. In the end, I think it makes for a really nice photo of two spectacular cars rarely seen together. http://a2.cpimg.com/image/68/45/33333352-784b-028001AB-.jpg For the Wallpaper-sized versions, click on the size that you want below: 1600 (http://speed.supercars.net/boardpics/2004-4-8/2266465-Peloton25a.jpg) - 1200 (http://speed.supercars.net/boardpics/2004-4-8/2266465-Peloton25b.jpg) - 1024 (http://speed.supercars.net/boardpics/2004-4-8/2266465-Peloton25c.jpg) - 800 (http://speed.supercars.net/boardpics/2004-4-8/2266465-Peloton25d.jpg) >8^) ER McLaren Mike 05-09-2004, 02:01 AM thats bloody awesome well done and thanks Peloton -Mike:aus: mini magic 05-09-2004, 04:49 PM jeepers thats good. Well done man. All we need now is a really nice 001R wallpaper...... ;) :p Peloton25 05-09-2004, 05:49 PM I just knew that subject would come up in response to this. :D I'll get back to fighting with it soon - it's really not easy given that the color tones from the left and right pages are so far off. Then you have to adjust for the curve of the page over the scanner where it runs into the seam as well as the line of missing info. I want it done just as much as everyone else, but I won't release the final product till I'm completely satisfied with it. Since some may want to print it, what would be the point...? >8^) ER MalkaJB 05-11-2004, 08:29 PM Hey Peloton, your picture is "Picture of the Day" at www.Fast-autos.net Looks like you're famous. LOL Peloton25 05-11-2004, 08:48 PM Neato - I'll be sure to tell Drew "Thanks!" next time I bother him. :) >8^) ER drewwtms 05-12-2004, 10:43 AM Looks like I missed it as I assume this has nothing to do with the 996 that is up there now. "I can make you famous," Billy The Kid Peloton25 05-12-2004, 11:15 AM It was just that same photo I pasted together that is linked above. Also, the "Drew" I was referring to is the Drew that runs Fast-Autos.net, not you. ;) Sorry if that was confusing. >8^) ER vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
