im out gettin some pizza with my friends tonight, and my friend has his fiero gt out, so we go out on some back roads and play around a little bit, finally we line up, and give it a go. of course he beats me off the line so hes got an advantage there, but i stuck with him till around 70 mph, then we let up, so it was almost even, if it would have been rolling, we woulda almost tied. then im comming home from his house, and a car that looked like a wrx sped up behind me. so, what do i do, i pull onto a long flat empty side road and race him. actually it was a road that leds to my house, thats long and empty, and he followed me. so im like, wtf, ill try. he started out behind me, then flew by and kept goin. got up to around 100, then let off cuz we were comming on a hill. at the end he was at most 2 car lengths ahead. im pretty happy for tonight, even though i lost both races. i did good, especially for my piece of shit car.



oh, also, on the way to get pizza, i did a huge burny in front of a cop. stupid decision, i didnt even know he was there. he didnt get me, but i ended up seeing him again after me and my friend raced, the cop busted a u-turn but we cut off the road and lost him-phew, im stupid, and lucky.

also, one of my other friends took out his t-maxx, (RC monster truck) and disconnected the front wheels so it was rear wheel drive. my friend had some sand in his driveway from his girlfriends car, and when the t-maxx hit the sand, it would just sit there and spin in a perfect circle. honestly the best donie i have ever seen. i cant wait to go back tomorrow and look at the black marks on his driveway

I hate to be an @$$, but I have to go with Toksin on this one. The law is the law and from events in my life that deal with street racing any law regarding illegal street racing is NOT stupid. I come from a family of law enforcement officers and they are NOT out to kill anyone's fun. They are out there to protect the peace, safety and citizenry of a community and therein lies the problem. Many guys out there choose to interpret fun as street racing whether it be on desolate black top in the middle of nowhere or on the freeway bobbing in and out of traffic like complete idiots.

For the most part that is not true but there is a few that are supercharged but it is only the cops that have taken advanced drivers training courses that can drive them.

down here in florida they have v8 stang's and vettes for the people that do realy good on the police course. there are some camaros's too. the rest get v8 crown victoria's, some have malibu's, and the ones that do really bad on the test get PT Crusiers, thats what they gave my neighbor

There's actually a guy that drives a lot around here and he owns a Supra TT. I've never seen him give it more gas than a grandma except for once just to show me it was a turbo and not the n/a. He's got a huge exhaust (Blitz I think) along with a full veilside kit. The thing is painted pearl white and is immaculate. Definitely not a ricer despite the bk...and he never drives like an idiot even with his 300+hp.

I think most of the people that race a lot feel like they have something to prove. They obviously don't love their cars and aren't secure enough in most cases to care about the dangers and damage possibly waiting for them around each corner. People with really nice cars that have actually worked for them usually drive pretty boring since they know they can probably take every car they meet on the streets.

Then again...what do I know...I race people and drive like an asshole a lot...If I had a car that nice I probably wouldn't though...a least not after the first month of enjoying the raw power...I'm pretty sure there comes a point when spinning your tires and doing 10 second runs at each toll booth gets lame...Though I haven't reached that point yet.

I have ran from the cops in KS. We were in a firebird had it burried at 120 in 3rd gear, we were in 5th at the time the cop came up on us and he kept up no problem.. but he fell back after about 30sec. I hate cops cause they do not have anything else better to do then to tow away my project car....It didn't have the sticker updated cause it wasn't running and it couldn't pass smog....instead of letting me know or warning me, he just ups and tows it....before that I had a chevy and I didn't know there was a stinking law for a 72 hours parking violation and they towed it.....both cars were parked outside....i have people parking on my street like a block down and leave it there for like a week and they don't do shit.....I have both my cars outside of my house and they tow it.....Nothing better to do...and this city has a lot of crime and dumb ass speeders....Personally I hate cops and that is by experience. they might have an ecu program but it doesn't make up for the weight and aerodynamics. my friends cv spins alot of power but once its on the highway it is a real slug. he gets it to 130 in about 3/4 of a mile from an 80mph roll.

now if you take a "chip" and put it in his car you get about 10hp
add the light bar the spot light you lose aero
add the computers the cage and all the extra equipment to the cars and you loose any advandtage you had with the "chip"

Traffic cops are nothing but pigs. Every last one of them. I have plenty of good reasons to hate cops. I could go on all day long. Here are a few examples.

My car was ticketed for improper suspension and illegal exhaust....while sitting in a parking lot at the mall. I was nowhere near my car. I had been in the mall for about 2 hours, I come out and I have the ticket under my windshield wiper. What the fuck is that about? I was doing absolutely nothing wrong. I'm sure some of you dicks here will say "uh well you were breaking the law with an illegal exhaust or your car was to low".. well fuck you. Why couldn't that cop be out on the road picking up soccer moms driving 70 in a 45? No, no, they find it way more important to ticket a parked car in a parking lot. Luckily for me, the judge threw out both tickets because he saw my side and saw how incredibly stupid those tickets were.

Another time... I'm out at a local car meet on a Friday night. We meet at this parking lot behind this store every Friday night. There are normally about 30-75 cars out there at one time. We do absolutely nothing except to go out there and hang out since most of us are friends and know each other outside the "car scene". We even keep this spot a secret to keep all the 16 year olds who just got their license out of there. We even went as far to get a letter from the manager of the store to say that he's ok with us hanging out in his back parking lot as long as we don't do anything stupid. About a month ago there was a guy out there with an '04 Viper SRT-10. Every now and then a cop will roll through the parking lot just to make sure we are all being safe and not doing anything illegal. Well, one cops decided to stop and harrass everybody, especially the Viper owner. He went up and told the guy with the viper that he had to leave because he had illegal headlights and his car was sitting too low. The viper was completely stock. Nothing had been changed since it left the showroom floor. The guy with the viper was doing nothing except letting people take pictures of his car that night. The guy told the officer that his car was still at factory specs. The officer then threatened to take him to jail if he didn't obey him and leave. So of course he didn't want to jail so he got in his car and left. We all just stood there and couldn't believe what we just saw. Once again, useless cops at work.

Another story. This one is similar to vsiev's experience. This one didn't affect me personally, but it still builds on my hatred towards traffic cops. A friend was building 2 cars in his driveway; a foxbody and a gsr. They were both up on jack stands and the foxbody was covered with a tarp. Well, one day some lady from the city showed up with a piece of paper stating that his cars were going to be towed since they were inoperable. There was a police car and 2 tow trucks there as well. My friend told the lady straight up that she wasn't taking his cars because he was working on them and it's not like they were in the middle of the road in the way... They were in his driveway on his property. The cop then saw my friend arguing with the lady so he walked up the yard and put him in handcuffs. While he was in handcuffs the tow trucks proceeded to load up both cars and haul them off. This was about 2 weeks ago and he is still trying to figure out how to get his cars back. The cops keep telling him that until they are operable, he can't have them back. What's he supposed to do, go drop a motor into the car while it's sitting in the impound lot? Ridiculous.

My last story for now. Once again, it doesn't affect me personally. A friend was issued a reckless driving ticket for basicly "fitting the description of a racer". He has a 94 MR2 with a ton of modifications, including a monster T67. Anyways, he left a light one night just normally, not accelerating hard or anything. Soon enough, he sees the blue and reds come on behind him. He pulls over and asks the cop why he got pulled over. These were the cops exact words, "well you look like someone who like to race their car. Are you heading to some street races now? I also heard you chirping your tires back there at the light." The chirping of the tires that the officer supposedly heard was his blow off valve. My friend said "you pulled me over because I look like a racer? Are you discriminating against me sir?" The cop then said, "Yes sir I am, you and your car fit the description of somebody who street races." My friend was then issued a reckless driving ticket for supposedly spinning tires. His court date is in about a month and of course he is fighting this one since the cop even admitted to profiling.

These are all true stories about the great men and women of the Virginia Beach City Police Department. I'm so glad I have these people to protect and serve for the community. YAY!

I have a great respect for cops and I do fear them for what they can do to me and my car, so I dont like to push my luck since its already been pushed too far. For example...

I was doing 45 on 35 mph when i had my 85 lude (not trying to speed or race i was just driving), i saw a cop and i immediately slowed down, the cops look at me and almost make me crash with their high beam light. So they follow me and pull me over. I just kept quiet, first time being pulled over, so the cop asks me if i know why i was pulled over. I was gonna say something stupid and defying, like "Because I look young and I was going a little fast and u want to bust me?" but then I thought that it would only give em a reason to give me a ticket. So I said "No, I dont Know", So the cop doesnt know what to say and comes up with a lame excuse that he couldnt see my front license plate and that i should clean it. That showed me that they pull over the most likely person so that could get a ticket. So i just didnt care.

Second time pulled over, and last one so far, was after my lude got blown, So i had a VW FOX '86. That car was really fun to drive even though it was slow, and the cool thing about it was that it couldnt accelerate or speed, toped out at 75 mph, so there was no possible way for the cops to pul me over!!! But this one time, my best friends dad got a stroke and wnt into a coma. We stayed in the hospital til 3 am. I took my friend home and the i went home, thre was a cop following me because i think she saw me and i was driving too good to be a teen even though there was a fixed up accord right in front of me going faster. So when i turn into the street where i live she pulls me over. I was completely freaked out and i prayed like heck. My license was at home, no insurance and no registration, on top of that i was past my curfue. So the lady walks up to me and i tell her the truth with all respect and admit that i have no excuse for not getting a grip of tickets. So she looks at me and tells me how hoenst i am and said that since i just two houses away from my house, the fact that my "relative" was in the ER, and taht she has an important call, she'll give me a warning. I thanked the officer so much and politely said good night. I thank god for giving me another opportunity and the lady cop.

So Like i said i have alot of resopect for cops and not all of them suck as long as they are reasonable.

the hell about that.....cops in san diego are asses. I mean they wrote me up for a speeding ticket of 85 when i was going 70 sunday afternoon on the freaking i8 with open lane/low traffic...just cause i didn't signaled to change lanes(which everyone in this damn states doesn't do, which now i do it everytime) he pulls me over and gives me a ticket for speeding instead of the signal....he tells me why i got pulled over and asked how fast i think i was going and i told him 70(which i was doing and because i changed lane to the right cause the person in the fast lane was going 60) but gives me a ticket for the speeding of 85 and lets me go for the signal...so i have to pay more for the ticket and he puts me to clairemont court which is like 20 miles away when i have a court house in el cajon like 2 miles away.....and what is up with this bullshit about how low your car can be when there isnt' anything about the freaking trucks out there with the lift and not adjusting their headlights so they don't blind people.....laws are created by popularity and most of the damn people are too ignorant to know what is good for them...they learn from word of mouth.....

My friend has on ly got fix tikets, one time i remember him being pulld over. The cop said "I;m giving u a ticket cuz ur car is ugly." Which he did have a point. He's car was crashed all around , headlights were pointing in a wrong direction and the paint job was horrible.

Another time, I was wihth my friend AZ, we were going to a party, and he wanted to prove to em that he could make it to yuma in 3 hrs witht his 300zx. So we go flying and a cop pulls us over,. He told him, " I was waiting for you", and my friend said "I came as fast as i could", the cop laughed so much that he let us go. That was really awesome!!!

here is another story...with the car taht was towed. My bro took it to the beach and hung out with some friends and right when they were going back to the car, they see the cop finishing writing the ticket and they start to run over. By the time they got there the cop ups and left(and the cops saw them too) and he gave him a ticket on a stock 240sx becuase he didn't have a license plate in front and it was passed parking hours(which there was no signs!) and the friend didn't get jack sh*t....and it was modded out.....what kind of crap is that....
Oh and other time, my other bro gets his car jack, gets them 3 hours to come by and get a report.....and when my mom's car's window was shattered by an asshole that had to do donuts in the dirt lot, they didn't do shit, didnt' write a report, only gave us advice not to go to the insurance about it. couldn't even catch the guy if we video taped them or got the license cause "they need to know who the driver was, it could be a relative or not the owner of the car and they would be reliable"....how is that ya know......whoever lets people borrow their cars are held responsible as the driver....dumb ass cops in san diego....hey johnny if ya need anything hit me up...maybe i can help

EDIT: the two cars were parked next to eachother.....and the friend's car didn't have a license plate in the front either.....

EDIT AGAIN: Sorry about the ranting....just all this talk about cops brings back bad memories and hate for them.....i still think they get over rated respect since 9/11....still don't think they deserve it....firemen i do and i respect the hell out of them...cops, hell no.....

i have the greatest respect for police, but traffic pigs are worth shit.

i only have one ticket, and that was when i was in my paseo, i was only going like 29-30 which is normal in oconomowoc, i even had someone riding on my ass. well the cop sees me and pulls me over, even took the effort of turning around. he tells me i was goin 45, im like oh, is that right, my spedo said i was goin 30. hes like, nope, i got ya at 45. when he handed me my ticket, it said i was goin 45, and i had a fine of like 200 bux, i took it to court, and told the judge that i was only goin 30, even had a friend in the car to prove it. he let me off almost completely, he lowered the points, which were -4, to only -1, and the fine down to $20. he saw that i was a responsible kid that didnt drive recklessly. those stories that i said in my first post were not how i always drive. i drive safely and alertly. i was just showing off to my friend cuz he always says my car is a pile of shit, which it is, and i wanted to show him that it was still decently quick, not slow like it looked like. i am honestly a really good driver, i may do stupid shit, but i know what im doing, even though im only 16. the first time i drove was in the biggest snow storm of last year, 8 inches i think, and i did just fine, i got absolutely no points off on my behind the wheel test, and got all 3 out of 3 on my practice days with my instructer. not all young 16 year old drivers are reckless and stupid, most of them are, but not all. i accelerate fast cuz i can, my pos doesnt have enough power, i need more-and i really think i can handle more too- so i get as much out of it as i can.

i myself have had 1 bad experience with a traffic cop. but one experience does not soil me on cops as a whole. they do their job and keep our country(ies) free and as free of crime as possible.

stealthj - you are entitled to have whatever opinion you want of police officers, but if your arguement is simply going to be "fuck cops, they're all pigs", then keep it off the board. that shows nothing for your maturity, and makes you look like a 12 year old. i don't want to hear about it anymore.
