Hey I was wondering who you think would win in a 1/4 mile race. A manual 2004 PT Cruiser GT HO or a automatic 2004 RX-8. Keep in mind the Cruiser has roughly 220 hp and 245 lbs of torque. The RX-8 has 193 hp and 165 lbs of torque I think. The RX-8 is also about 200-300 lbs lighter than the Cruiser.

lol......that race would be funny to see.Just because both of those cars are way slower compared to cars i usually see run. I believe the PT turbo runs mid 16's on the 1/4, n e body know what the rx-8 base model run???

Mid-16's? No, a manual PT turbo will run mid-low 15's. The RX-8(manual) runs a 14.6 in the quarter. So it's a possible win for the PT if the RX-8 is auto. I heard that if you don't roast the tires launching the RX-8, the 0-60 time goes up from 5.8 to 7.5.

First off is it stock vs. stock? If so according to Road and track then rx-8 runs a 14.4. Also I would not be seen in a pt cruiser turbo unless I was running well over stock boost, and other times in general.

There both stock and the PT Turbo HO is a pretty quick car much faster than the standard Turbo
