View Full Version : tire shine? tire shine? detailz 05-03-2004, 07:21 PM newbie here, names Ron...i own a hand carwash and detail shop and i'm looking for a fast ,cheap effective way to apply tire dressing?, spraying it on is a mess becuase it get's all over the vehicle?...any techniques or products that i can try? thanks!! detailz 05-03-2004, 07:22 PM all about the detailz... 4ss4s1n 05-03-2004, 09:41 PM So you dont want to spray it on,but you still want the shine on it right? This might do the trick. They pretty cheap and can be found at your local auto zone, etc.Spray these first instead of the tire, which will cause the excess splatter that you dont want. http://tinyurl.com/2uwsp detailz 05-04-2004, 12:31 PM yes, those do work but on average we do about 70 a day and those things don't seem to last more than a week, the big tr5uck tires really beat them down any suggestions for a good cheap product ? 4ss4s1n 05-04-2004, 01:15 PM What if you use those jumbo size cans of Foaming tire shine.Thats also a good way to keep it from splattering. http://tinyurl.com/39jbb detailz 05-04-2004, 02:26 PM won't that get a bit pricey though? saturnsc2 05-06-2004, 12:03 AM i just use armor all which i just spray on the tires. i'm pretty good with the spray bottle & don't make a mess. i might get some on the wheel covers, but it's ok. i like armor all because it's silicone/water based & safe if some gets on the paint. i've heard of some other tire dressings that could do some damage to the paint if left on....
