Ok, I have a 7mgte that I swapped into my 86.5 mk3 supra. I don't know what year the motor is and I can't ask the people I bought it from. I looked at the engine Idenification number and as far as I can tell it is

0209124


I can not find any catalog or anything of the numbers that tells the year on the motor, and I need to know this because the ECU and Wiring harnesses have to be from the same year. Please let me know if you know of a way to figure out what year the motor is.

Sorry about that, I meant there was a minor differance between the ECU/harnesses and sensors between the years. The 87-88 turbo's had a HAC sensor external, 89+ has it built into the ECU. I don't think your going to be able to tell the year from the engine VIN, it's just an ID to the car letting someone know if it's been replaced/swapped.
