small hole leaking engine coolant

My car recently began to overheat and smoke. I parked, walked home and came back the next day to see what was wrong. As far as i can see, there is a really small hole in one of the hoses that was spraying out coolant. I managed to drive my car back home (2 blocks away) so that i might be able to fix it (it would cost 40$ to tow and i don't know how much to fix, too much for my recent financial woes). I am planning on getting some more engine coolant, possibly some sort of patch for the hose, and maybe a radiator pressure-tester. The hole is really small and the other hoses look to be relatively new. I was curious if a patch is a safe option in terms of fixing this problem. If not, how difficult/expensive is it to change out one of the bigger hoses?

radiator hose got a small hole because it has a problem. would be best to replace the hose. go to NAPA, etc. hose cost about $15.00
