99 Civic cupholder won't hold my cup...solution?civickid97 05-02-2004, 01:47 AM Hey gang I had a 97 Civic that held cups like a pro, but my car now (99 Si) has a cupholder that's too big for anything. What, if anything, did some of you do??? D[X]P 05-02-2004, 02:23 AM Get a different cup :icon16: MunG35 05-02-2004, 03:37 AM agreed. new cup time or stuff the thing with padding to hold it or look for something on ebay SilverY2KCivic 05-02-2004, 05:46 AM Time to super-size your drink, anywhere you go. Yeah, as you can tell, I hate my jumbo sized cup holders in my '00 DX coupe (same ones you have). I don't have a solution, but damn, I'm blown away that the larger right side holder will accomidate my Nissan Stanless Steel cup/mug/thermos thing! :uhoh: I mean, seriously that's rediculous... Honda takes 3 tries to get it right. 5th gens ('92-'95's) the front cup holders were too small for much of anything. 6th gen ('96-'00) they were too big well '99-'00 at least. Then for 7th gens, my understanding is that they are just right! civickid97 05-02-2004, 12:21 PM Time to super-size your drink, anywhere you go. Yeah, as you can tell, I hate my jumbo sized cup holders in my '00 DX coupe (same ones you have). Then for 7th gens, my understanding is that they are just right! lol...super size would be great, but on my college budget that would take a toll...especially when my gas is $2.09/gallon...jam!! I guess I'll try to switch mines with a 96-98. They were much deeper. 97CivicX 05-02-2004, 02:34 PM go on ebay and search for a cup holder insert or something of the sort. i know they make them and im sure they ahve them for every car, just gotta find one Beastiek2 05-02-2004, 03:42 PM get a girl to sit shottie and hold that cup like a pro 97CivicX 05-02-2004, 03:53 PM get a girl to sit shottie and hold that cup like a pro :iagree: civickid97 05-02-2004, 05:33 PM get a girl to sit shottie and hold that cup like a pro nice quote...lol...My girl's not in my car enough of the time to do that...lemme check ebay in the mean time. PoisonFangs 05-03-2004, 12:08 AM The 7th gens do grip cans, bottles, mugs, like a pro but they dont hold the supersizes very well without falling and spilling. trust me on that one . megaman277 05-03-2004, 03:14 AM go low budget...ask for more napkins, and stuff the napkins on the side of your cup so that its comfortable :smokin: BrokenLimits 05-03-2004, 06:52 AM 96-98 conversion is the best way man: http://forums.clubsi.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB7&Number=3456822&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1 and this link http://www.jimmmmmmmah.com/Install/Putting%20a%20CD%20Player%20in%20the%20Lower%20DIN .htm MrCrazy 05-03-2004, 03:09 PM does anyone feel like that was a waste of a tread??? Beastiek2 05-03-2004, 03:55 PM whats a tread civickid97 05-03-2004, 04:12 PM whats a tread *You know...like, tread softly...he must be Jamaican.* He must've meant thread...if this was a waste of a thread...that was a waste of a reply...which means he's a waste...and I'm replying, so this must be a waste, which makes me a waste...geez maneti. PoisonFangs 05-04-2004, 12:35 AM big waste. but questions must be asked, i guess its what makes the world go round. xproductionz 05-06-2004, 04:45 PM u know what sucks about my 01 civic.. cup holders are fine.. can hold pretty much all sizes.. what sucks is that its right underneath the radio and a/c controls so i cant put those tall ass cups in there without it tilting halfway out BrokenLimits 05-06-2004, 06:05 PM So you guys consider this a waste of a thread? Yet I see all kinds of threads asking questions that are a huge waste of time... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
