Don't trust cheap random stuff from ebay that I don't know, and also I can usually find a good deal on something I like.

Strikingly similiar to Audiobahn. I think these are another digital Audio. I don't think they're made at the same place, but trust me i know Audiobahn stuff and these are Audiobahns.

I just bought two of the XS-10's from a merchant on EBay (sell2All.com). They were list at $16 for TWO woofers, and even with the $24 shipping, I got two Subs for about $40. What a deal.

Upon initial inspection of the woofers, I would say that they are made quite well. The Chinese are getting quite good these days (I'ts been a long time since I've gotten any new speakers).

The magnets are indeed as large as shown in the picture on Ebay. They are covered in rubber, but the rubber is only about 1/8" (2.5mm) thick. The cone is formed paper, and the surround is 1.2mm thick tigh-grain foam. The suspension is stiff, which agrees with the high-power handling of the unit. I doub't they'd be good for the rated 300W continuous, but I would trust them at 100WRMS.

The basket is stamped sheet steel, but ha rolled edges all around, and is of a thick guage. It's very strong, and does not "ring" at all.

The units also come with FULL specs (Vas, Qts, Fo, etc.). This is a class-act touch is you ask me. They even include recommended box dimensions for closed and ported boxes.

I haven't mounted them in boxes yet, but the free-air sound quality seems quite good, with no harshness in the upper-bass area (~200Hz), which is the hardest thing for a sub to handle. Any sub can go "Boom!", but one that can reproduce low notes on a piano with clarity is a good find. This one fits the bill nicely.

So, to those that insist on chasing brand names, go for it. Just glad your not spending my money!

I would indeed recommened the XSite product - you can't beat the price, and would spend alot more to beat the quality.

Yea I hooked up 2 xsite 10's and they weren't the best sounding things in the world but they sounded decent...definately worth the money.....let's see how they hold up.

Is it me or does Yendor Z (2 posts above) seem like a Xsite salesman?
