Depends on what motor ya got and what kind of valve train.
The V6's and OHV fours got lifters/rockers like the v8s and are adjustable/replaceable the same way.
The OHC fours, like my 2.0 use a static rocker arm between the valve and a hydraulic lash compensator (lifter) and the cam holds it all together.
Depending on what part of the valve train is making the noise-it really isn't a big deal to fix.

OHVs-just loosen the rocker and turn it out of the way to remove the pushrod and lifter.
OHCs-you need to buy or build a special tool to push the valves down so you can get the rockers out and then you can get the lifters out.
Cam replacement on the fours is a piece of cake.
