some people say that eclipses are really troublesome and break down a lot, but i was wondering what people that owned them thought. also, how much psi could i push on a stock 95 gsx?

IMO as long as you take care of your car, you should be good. As for the 2nd question, .................... i have no idea (i need to learn this stuff :crying: )

More parts will break in a turbo motor than a honda.

How much power an engine can handle isn't measured in PSI. To answer that question, the motor would laugh at a stock turbo trying to make 30+ PSI, where as you might be more careful running 20psi on a bigger turbo. ~400whp

the stock turbo on the eclipse can be set to "push" about 16 psi. anything after that and you're wasting your time. 16 psi is the max you should go.

as for reliability, when you mod, things break... it's just understood. take care of the car, and it will take care of you!

anytime you are forcing anything, things will break. as with sportscars, they are made for performance, not long term reliability.

this is in no way trying to make excuses for an 'unreliable' car. quite the opposite. if properly maintained, they are very reliable. also realizing that these cars demand more attention [it's like you are drawn to them!!], you will properly maintain them because of this.

now, if your name is Kevin and you are trying to get disgusting power from pump gas POSr style, you may have problems. but then again, you will know how to fix them all quick and easy too.

Just buy it an drive it... You control whether stuff break or it doesnt.. Gun it at every light, dont change the oil, and dont check your car out every week, and itll go to shit real quick.. Take care of it..and itll treat you nice..
