In the european market, Opel company could sell the new Vectra OPC.

This car mount a 1.9 Liters turbodiesel engine with an amazing performance:

- Power 212 HP.

- Maximun Torque:400 Nm / 295.0 ft lbs @ 1400 - 3500 rpm

- Top Speed: 155.3 mph / 250.0 km/h (limited)

- 0-60 mph Acceleration: 6.40 sec

The best of the car is that it only has a fuel consum of 6 Liters / 1.6 gallons of gas-oil per 60 milles.

All this excelent performance is possible thanks to the revolutionary 1.9 Liters CDTI engine developed by GM-Fiat PowerTrain. It has a Common Rail Multijet fuel injection and a TwinTurbo aspiration system.

TwinTurbo system has two turbochargers in serial configuration with a nominal boost pressure of 3 bar/ 44psi.

At low rpm of the engine, an electrovalves system of the air intake actives the first and little turbo.

At middle rpm the second and big turbo is activated, two turbos works on serial mode.

At high rpm the electrovalves deactived the first turbo and only works the big.

With this configuration Opel has obtained a superturbocharger engine with minimun turbo lag effect and good performance at low rpm.
