Looking for intake for 99 Legacy GTnolanslv 04-26-2004, 04:12 PM I am not having very good luck finding an intake for my 99 Legacy GT. Does anyone know of a good one and where to get it? Diesel2NR 04-26-2004, 09:08 PM I've got a Rallitek Intake on my Legacy. Pretty nice intake. Took a little work with the braket to make it fit right, but it was worth it. It gives a much deeper tone to the exhaust and the car has much better sound over 3000rpm. Nice intake...Available at Rallitek.com CobbTuning.com also has an intake for the Legacies, but it isn't compatable with MAF Sensor equiped engines. If you don't have that sensor (it's a little box that bolts into the back of your air box before the hose goes on), then this might be the intake for you, as it pulls colder air out of the fender. nolanslv 04-27-2004, 10:41 AM i do have the MA sensor. So what you are saying is that the one from Rallitek is probable my best choice/ How easy is it to install for a Novice? Diesel2NR 04-27-2004, 11:05 PM It's pretty easy to install. I believe the instructions are still on their site, and if not, I'm sure a quick e-mail to Sean (his address is on the site) will get you instructions pretty quickly. The only thing I didn't like about the intake was that one of the rubber hose couplers was shaped oddly. I solved that by going down to advanced and buying one for like 2 bucks. The hardest part of the install was getting the bracket bent to where it would hold the intake steady. If the intake shakes, the MAF Sensor won't work right and will cause the engine to run crappy. Other than that, the most time comsuming part will be taking the old intake out. Good luck! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
