dash problem

I tool out my dash to paint and in the process I broke it. But luckily I have another. So how can I get it back in easier?? How do you get the stuff on the steering column off???(lights, washer, cover)Please Help

take off the steering wheel and there are about 5 screws or so and a few plugs and all that stuff slides off.
