weight reduction

i'm just wondering :screwy: if one of the problems the z has had is weight problems would buying a fiverglas body kit help or a carbon fiver kit! if any body had any suggestions on how to make the Z lighter your help will be apreciated.

I'm not an expert but there isn't really you can do to cut weight save gutting the interior of all leather, power window motors, seat motors, insulation, sound system and so on. Carbon or glas hood/fenders aren't going to save you much, everything that is left after that is stuff that pretty much as to be there, guess you could take out the AC and save some. Apparently the stock exhaust was heavy, mine had a Borla when I bought it so I couldn't compare. If you are looking to keep it a nice street ride then there unfortunately is much we can do. I think. Some one tell me I'm wrong.
