My Mechanic cleaned the Throttle Plates and this car runs fine now.

I looked at the part before he cleaned it and it was dirty as hell.

If I understand correctly, the throttle plate tells the computer what the position of the gas pedal is and when it gets mucked up, the car can jerk or stall etc. etc.

Thanks for your help guys ---

93 Tauras 6 cylinder 3.0L ? I think its a 3.0L

Stalled 3 times today when I was stopping.

Stopped, then stalled.

Never stalled while driving only when I stop at a light or whatever.

When I am cruising and I barely have preasure on the gas, it does wierd things that feal like they are transmission related, but its hard to tell.

When I stop, it feels like the transmission is not disengaging properly and then it will stall.

###########################

The question is: Is this related to the engines Idle settings and or air control/ fuel control at idle speed?

Or: Is this Transmission related?

###########################

I get oil changes done according to something like 3 months or 3000 miles - something like that

############################

The engine stall has never occured on level ground, only when facing up or down a slight hill or incline.

##########################

I checked the Transmission fluid hot and in Park and it was fine. Someone said check it in Neutral?? I am not sure about that I have to look at it again I guess.
