I want opinions on these carsDemonYugo 04-22-2004, 10:29 PM Allright guys heres how it is. I wanna buy a project car and ive got a two in mind for various reasons... Honda Prelude- Toyota Celic- I love preludes there such neat cars, they look nice if u know what ur doin under the hood there fast and there intimidateing but not rice. I also love the celic but the newer ones i.e the 2000+'s are totally rice and I hate that. Thats why I was looking into buying a 90's celic. Allright which do you think i should buy for a project car. And I'd also like to know if you think i should just scrap those both and get something differnt, but I swear to god if one of you udder civic or neon i will find whare you live! =) btw- I currently drive a nova twin-cam which is nice but its not for race. MattyG 04-22-2004, 10:36 PM I voted Prelude, I like them better for no particular reason that I can think of right now. :) J_Swigz 04-22-2004, 10:43 PM I would personally take a prelude over a celicA. freakonaleash1187 04-22-2004, 11:28 PM prelude would be much better of a choice than a celica. celica's are viewed at by many to be a girls car. i would look at a 240sx or better yet a 300zx. Diablo_VT 04-23-2004, 12:28 AM Prelude but if u know how to take care of a rotory motor than i'd go with an RX-7 not only are they fast if tuned up right but fairly light and aerodynamic so they seem faster and are just all around cool racers.. sicksS40T4 04-23-2004, 12:44 AM if ya want a quick FWD good handleing, turbo Garret t2, all stock, and depending on how much ya wanna spend, get a 98/99 Volvo S40 T4. Mine runs 13.8 1/4 and Ive oly spent about $5000 on it. everyone drags you coz they dont know what they are and then when you blow em away they yell out "Bloody Volvo Driver!!!!" GTR2b 04-23-2004, 12:54 AM Prelude. Easier to get parts and more of a variety of parts available. This gives you a much better chance of decking out your car and not pulling up to a car at your local hangout that has the EXACT same car as you with the EXACT same mods. ugh, that would suck. nbw 04-23-2004, 01:35 AM a prelude intimidateing...? *shrugs wherent there some AWD celica's in the early 90's? If so that would be my bet. :) kingpinn 04-23-2004, 05:27 AM ok i say get the lude but if you want something that not every body has get the 240sx or a 87-89 conquest/starion those thing are fast and rwd and you never see them.... and it just so happens that i have one for sale . never mind your to far away to buy it . but look in to the 240 or conquest/starion to hell with the ludes...............thats just my take..... BP2K2Max 04-23-2004, 11:45 AM i said other. go with a 95-99 maxima. more power and tq. only weighs 2900 lbs. i can tell you i have personally smoked both of the cars listed in my 95 SE 5 speed. A Z would be decent too. i just said maxima cuz your choices were FWD, plus im biased. i have a friend who had a celica 5 speed, not a new one, the previous generation. i drove it and was awed by how slow it is. since then she bought a GSR integra. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
