I just pulled mine to change my head gaskets. It will take a bit if time to tag all the hoses and wires but it's pretty easy. When you get the upper intake off you will see the fuel rails. From there it's a piece of cake. Remember to use new o-rings and rubber bushings on the injectors when you put them back and also new crush washers on the fuel fittings. Wet the new o-rings with gas to lube them during assembly.

Good luck, Al

For what you are doing the Haynes book should be fine. It's really pretty easy stuff. Just a bunch of hoses to lable.

I heard Downey sucks with their fuel injectors. What they do is take yours and give you someone elses injectors. I heard many times they leak. That's just what I heard. Their prices seem too low for upgraded injectors. I took mine to South Bay Toyota in Gardena, California. I met this cool guy that works there, anyway, he has a friend that cleans them, rebuilds them and balances them. I marked mine to make sure I got mine back. I dropped them off one day and got them back a couple of days later. I also had them bore out the throttle body. It runs really good now, more power.

Getting to them sucks. Make sure you tag all the hoses and where they go.
It might be a good idea to change the valve cover gaskets (use Toyota gaskets). You only need silicone at the bottom corners of the arched part of the gaskets.
