Hi everybody,

Several days ago I spun out with my 92 Camry and busted one of two rear axle beams for the driver's side rear wheel. Now that wheel is slightly inverted with respect to the car. I'm wondering if you all can give me your opinion as to what the estimate of this damage is going to be. Just a ballpark figure from your experiences is all I ask. Assume it's simply an axle replacement. Thanks.

Chris

You should have this professionally estimated. The rear wheels are not driven so they don't have an axle as you envision.Chances are pretty good that the mounting arms are bent.

Yeah, I agree with Joe. You've probably bent one of the mounts or rear tie rods. If the car were a rear wheel drive, then possibly we would be discussing rear axle replacement. This is a job that should be left to the professionals...best of luck to you.
