im gettin no almost no powerThaKidz2Nice 04-18-2004, 01:07 AM :eek7: i just bought a 1990 celica and i have a couple of questions. first off for some reason when i try to drive it when i press on the gas it rev's but i get almost no power. has n-e one ever had this problem and what can i do to correct it cuz i have no idea whats wrong (i broke the e-brake, may that be whats wrong; and if so how much to fix it). my second question is how do i install my led window washer to my car. lastly any body have n-e ideas on what a good first mod should be for my car :eek7: Zanark 04-18-2004, 11:29 AM sounds like the clutch in the Transmission is shot. You must have an automatic Im guessing. And yeeah automatic transmissions DO have a clutch well actually sorta like clutches its a floating thing but any way. and even if you broke your e brake the shit would stick kick up or youde itleast bust your tranmission mount. And first mods? lol buy an Engine set with a tranmission, the 90's celica engines arent exactly the most potent. but a good looking car though. ThaKidz2Nice 04-18-2004, 07:52 PM thanx for the advice zanark. itz a manual shit though, so iz it still the problem. i dont really know to much about carz. like i said i do get power, i dont have n-e problem shiftin, but i get high rev's and verey slow speed, on top of that my car started overe heatin today. it takes about a minute to even get up to 40. Celica Kid 04-19-2004, 06:51 PM you might want to try checking your timing it could be off. the clutch slipping is definately a possibility. what is your idle at when you are not pressing the gas? Sypherz28 04-20-2004, 01:34 PM Also did you have a car before this one that could have been faster? I know what it is like to own a fast car then go to one slower, it feels completely... wrong. iceecellica 04-23-2004, 01:07 PM My friend has an eclipse spyder that is doing the same thing, i told her it was prolly the clutch sticking but i really am not too sure as too wat it is, not to familiar w/ clutches and such vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
