Dip in RPM's?havic 04-16-2004, 02:07 PM I had a tune up done about two weeks ago, as some of you recommended for my issue, but the problem still exists. It's not serious, but annoying. At times when I am stopped, in drive, my rpm's dip from the normal 600 rpm to 500 and the car begins to shake ever so slightly, like it was beginning to stall. It's very slight. You guys mentioned something about cleaning a sensor that is connected to the intake, can someone elaborate? Also, are there any other things that can cause this (ex. dirty injectors, oxygen sensors, etc.), and if so, how to fix it? Thanks. forest_grump 11-25-2004, 04:50 AM I had a tune up done about two weeks ago, as some of you recommended for my issue, but the problem still exists. It's not serious, but annoying. This is late I know but commonly in fuel injected beasts that sputter or stall when idle as rpm's drop....cleaning the throttle body of built up gunk left by oil and sludge from around throttle plate closure with a rag soaked in brake or carb cleaner wrapped around a 1/4" wooden dowel rod(don't want to scar it up) does great..cheers :o) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
