'93 taurus sedan all brake lights out not bad blubs or fuses

I don't know what's wrong but all 4 of my brake lights are out and I replaced the bulbs and checked the fuses. So I'm open to any suggestions.

There's a switch on the upper portion of the brake pedal. Quite probably the switch is bad or a wire has broken off, most likely the latter. I had intermittent trouble with my '94 and it turned out to be a wire off the switch just hanging by a thread. I noticed it as the cruise control would not disengage when the brake was tapped. thanks i'll take a look at it. When yours did that, did it also lock in park and you had to turn the key about half way then shift then start to get it going? My dad also mentioned that the brake wouldn't disengage the cruise control but i forgot to say that earlier.

yeah the switch is the problem, it's not wires or anything but the whole switch is not connected to the pedal anymore i just gotta figure out how it goes back on i dont imagine it'll be too tough. thanks for the help
