I want to put a cat back exhuast system into my '95 riv but i cant find any kits around for the life of me. I'm going to be putting on dual super40 flowmasters, but my friend says that to add any real noticable difference in performance i will have to go cat-back. Any thoughts on whether or not it is worth it to try to go cat back vs. just getting the new mufflers? Also, more importantly, anyone know WHERE i can find a kit??? I've been looking for a few days now all over the net...no luck!

I doubt your find a kit... you should go to a good shop that can bend pipes, thats your best bet, there's nearly nothing for aftermark parts for a 95 riviera.

Have you had any experience with aftermarket exhaust on the newer rivs like mine? I got dual flomaster super 40's and took out the middle stock muffler, but i don't get nearly as much sound as I want. On some car domain page i heard someone say not even to bother trying to make a riv loud.

I noticed my piping is only 1 7/8". Would it increase volume if i went to a 2.5" pipe?

I looked in to upgrading my exhaust when I needed a new cat. but it had to all be custom work... from what I understand dual exhaust doesn't have as much pressure in the muffler, so it doesn't sound as loud... I really don't know what increasing the pipe size will do, I would think it would just get softer, I know if you take the cat. out and the other thingy under there... I'm not sure what it's called, you should know what I mean then it would be a lot louder, but not legal.
