Yup, these are real. The new M5 will feature the 7-speed Sequential Manual Gearbox with an optional automatic, and a 5-litre 500 HP V10, and will be released around the end of this year, as said.

Horridly sexy.

I really dislike these Lexus/Huandai looking designs that Chris Bangle is coming up with, I'm no pleased at all. I'm a proud owner of an E36 BMW 318is for 5 years now. If anything, I'm gonna invest into one if the last Non-Bangle BMW's -- an E39 5 Series, maybe if I'm lucky, purchase a slightly used E39 M5, and keep it till BMW introduces a design worth to be called a BMW. Will switch to a Volvo or Audi if that day never comes.

If someone can tell me how to post an attachment, (the forum rules say I can't), I have a spy picture of the E60 M5 that I took over my spring break. My friends and I spotted it on our way to San Diego on the 405. It's a pretty good picture too.
