a turbo on an automatic would actually be better, as you dont loose boost between shifts like in a manual. anyway, as long as you build the motor correctly, everything should work fine.

yeah crxlvr is right, a automatic transmission holds boost between shifts as to where a manual does not..but this is technicaly speaking. As long as you dont start putting out more than 325hp on this powerplant than your stock Auto Trans will be fine. After that you would need to upgrade your axels and you would need to bulletproof your inner splines and so forth. but yeah, i dont think youll be running that much boost, so yeah your good man

its for a 97 civic ex, but the car has high miles would that matter? (120k to b exact)

well the turbo will just add more stress to the tranny, so maybe swap it out for one with fewer miles on it, or goto www.levelten.com and have them build you a new one.

Totally do it. If I wasn't so concerned with the internals of the F22B I'd probably turbo my accord.
