My 93 pgt SHAKES and the wheel is always stuck

Is this only my car or does anyone else's probe shake while going fast on the parkway and while stopped at light for a long time. Also when I am parked and leave the car for a few hours then go back to it and drive the steering wheel is SOOOO tight and hard to turn. Why is this? It happens in all weather, hot or cold.

I have a 94 probe gt. The shaking while riding fast could be the balancing of the wheels or a wheel alignment. I would go with the cheapest fix first (wheel balancing approx 8-10 bucks a tire). Also check that your tires are not balding on the inside. This could also cause your car to shake while going fast. Hope this helps.

Check you power steering fluid and for leaks in the power steering system

check powersteering fluid for air bubbles (usually foam) and if so check intake at power steering pump, O-ring may be letting air in

my 97 shakes a little also. not so much when driving, but when it is idling, it shakes quite a bit. it idles real low and you can really feel the vibration. i dont kno what it is, so any possible cause suggestions are appreciated.

Just turn the idler screw up a little bit, it will raise your idling rpms the farther in you go, find a point where the shaking stops and that should take care of the problem.

Same prob with me....when its in drive and im stopped, it vibrates...goes away when i throw it in neutral though...

IM going to put some new mounts in by the tranny, and hopefully that will fix it....also may need to align my front-end.

well my 92 shakes while driving only when i reach 65mph what could that be .I can't even do the 70speed limet.

first question, where do you live that the speed limit is 70? Next is did you have your wheels and tires balanced, that might fix it.

Check all of your engine mounts and make sure they're not all decrepit.

yes, engine and tranny mounts...thats what im doing (as soon as i got time) replacing them with new ones

well yes i did have new tires and put balanced . I live in mississippi . and im not sure what the"tranny mounts' are ?

Well, tonight I out in new transmission mounts (black mounts on the bottom and above the transmission)

The vibration/shaking is now gone....

So after 3 total new mounts, its fixed, lol....mounts are like 50 a piece i think....
