The only cheap yet good condition ones are the 6 cyl cars.

well when your talking about buying a first gen camaro for cheap and only a little resto needed, that must mean you concider 4-5 grand(at a minimum depending on what you concider a little resto) cheap.

haha man the first camaro EVER built was in 1967, and you will NEVER find a cheap camaro that needs little restoration

If you look and look you can occasionally find a good small block running first gen camaro for around 3-4k. But those are rare and their sellers are often immune awesomeness of the car, and more impressed with beer, which they need money for.

The first year of camaro is 67'. 69's look the best, but they will be more expensive.

We payed $3500 for our camaro

That's what condition it was in when we bought it (first page) It looked pretty good, and has putty, but nothing SERIOUS. Also, it has the camel hump (is that right?) heads.. which are worth more than the car itself.

I spent 6,500 on my 71 ss and I've put 2,500 in it and still have about 10,000 more to go before it's done.

well first of all, the car looks good. iv always wanted a first gen, but you know the bore on a 327 and 350 are the same dont you. so its not bored out to a 350, the bore is still the size of a 327. and no those heads arnt worth more than the car. if they are in good condition they are only worth a few hundred dollars. they are just the best of old technology.
