my 85 350 econoline has red hot rear axle hub on the driver's side, the whole wheel got hot so it smelled like rubber, no sound when driving, had a break job about 6 months ago. what is up?

Sounds like a wheel bearing has gone bad Kev. You probably need to check the oil in your differential. (90wt)
