how hard is it to tune a turbo carburated car?motormike40 04-10-2004, 11:49 AM if you boost a carb car how hard would it be to fine tune it. And can u boost with a stock carb. SaabJohan 04-10-2004, 01:19 PM The carb must be modified, a better fuel pump will probably be needed and a fuel pressure regulator must be used. flylwsi 04-27-2004, 02:44 PM you've also got to pressurize the entire carb (inside/outside) by boxing it in... if not, the pressure on the outside would kill your float bowls. Jusliwood 04-27-2004, 05:40 PM If the car originally has turbocharger it is very easy. You can get extra HP tuning the screw of CO carburator ( in order to avoid knock ) and the nut of the waste gate turbocharger. But If the car has an atmosferic engine you must modify many parts (exhaust mainfold, cylinder compresion ratio, carburator.......) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
