I am trying to change the color of the back light of controls, like the heatings and AC and what not, and posibly also the gauges. Are there just bulbs back there that i could change and put i new bulb in, or would i have to rewire like LEDs inback. 94 civic Lx

I think they are called peanut bulbs. Might wanna double check what its called. Im sure Pep Boys have them.

*edit* Its easy to just remove the bulbs and put in a new one. Did it once in my old Toyota Corolla. For dash, there are (usually) 2 screws up the dash in the panel and after unscrewing, just remove them and your all set.

The buttons you'll have to change out for LEDs. Use super bright ones since the bulbs are clear and rely on colored film stuff to give them their color. A bright enough LED will shine it's color right through the film.

My '00 Civic gauge cluster with blue LED swapped out "D4" light...

The actual cluster bulbs, you'll have to change out for 2-3 of 194/168 type wedge bulbs (2 if you're auto, 3 if you have a tach) and then you'll need 2 NA24 type bulbs as well. The 194's you can get in many colors, the 24NA's as far as I know only come in clear and amber color that I've seen.
