Varad Alarm Scanner

Hi I just bought a varad alarm scanner, and have no idea of how to install it. i know where the black and red wire go, but what about the yellow wire? any ideas or pictures?

well, if it's anything like a CD player, that yellow wire needs to go to a switched 12 volt. Like your cigarette lighter. That way it turns on when you start your car and turns off when you turn your car off so you don't sit there and drain the battery while the car is off.

the light is suppose to come on when my car is off. n i don't have an alarm..

You can use the alarm scanner with or without an alarm. The red wire would go to a 12 volt power source and the black wire goes to ground. Yellow wire is the sense wire which senses if the car is off or on. If used with an alarm you would connect the yellow wire to the alarm grounded output. When used without an alarm I believe you would connect it to the ignition wire, so that the light will turn on when the car is off.
