Thoughts on the S15 LSDJ_Spec_NiTeMaRe 04-08-2004, 04:02 AM Iv'e heard that using an LSD from a S15 is a really good setup...but it's extremely hard to find info about it. People on NICO claim it's the shiznit, but no one really wants to speak up about it...greedy bastards. I was thinking about a Kaaz or Cusco, but my buddy has a Kaaz and the noise is so irritating sometimes. I'd never want to drive that car with a headache. Which brings us to the S15 LSD: Cheap, quiet, effective. Anyone have experience with it, thoughts about it, or know anything about it? Would you need a custom driveshaft/axles? Modify the housing? Anything like that? TheLogikal1 04-08-2004, 08:15 AM yuck, all i need to say, is thats its a helical lsd. kaaz is the best. the noise is just the friction plates when you first break it in, once your lsd gets used to your car, the noise will decrease (for me, it almost totally went away) J_Spec_NiTeMaRe 04-08-2004, 04:15 PM It goes away?! Ah the shit they don't tell you  Haha, my buddy's gonna be happy now. He was a wuss and had a shop do it, so he doesn't know if they put in new axles or had to modify it in any way...what'd you have to do? It didn't go straight in did it? TheLogikal1 04-08-2004, 06:45 PM just break it in good. after a while all the plates should settle and find its place. it quiets down aot vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
