Ok now pretty soon I am going to buy a civic between 96-00 and I want to swap out the engine and put in an LS b18b in it and turbo it. Now my question is what all do I need to make this a good swap. Now I have seen these engines that come with everything like the tranny, computer, axels, and harnesses but some only come with the basics. I am wondering if all of that is necissary to swap it into a civic or not. Could I use what the car has already. Also if it is necissary then would it be better to buy these items separate like maybe get a GSR tranny instead or is the LS tranny just as good for a turbo set up. Any help is much appreciated.

Does any one know about how much it usually costs for a shop to put in an engine

Meh...$1000-1500 maybe?! Just guessing. Coz when I was asking around...K20 cost like $5000, then total cost plus mounts ($600) and installation would be estimated around $7000...Those are rough figures from the top of my head. Cant really remember...twas written on a piece of paper I lost.
