87 Camry, Err code 14, Any idea?yinma 04-07-2004, 01:42 PM When I started the car, it got started but cranked immediately. If I keep puting gas, it is O.K. Otherwise, it cranks cranks, dead. Error code 14: Lost ignition signal. It runs great at most time. Sometimes, it dead when I stopped at a traffic light. Or It cranks to dead after it sits for a while. Any idea? What' wrong with it? thanks Joe W 04-07-2004, 09:42 PM This is assuming there is no spark. One of the first things to try would be the ignitor. Tracy_Luster 09-01-2004, 08:40 PM I had a similar problem on my 88 Toyota. The intermittent stalling was fixed for about two months after cleaning some residual oil from the distributor. When it happened again, I replaced the distributor. It hasn't happened since (about 10K miles). Brian R. 09-01-2004, 09:42 PM First check to see if your coil is getting 12v vs body ground with the key on. If the coil is getting 12v, if you can find a procedure, check your ignitor and your ignitor circuit to the ECU. Like Joe said, likely to be your ignitor. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
