What is the final drive ratio(s) for a JDM b16 cable Y1 tranny?.. My plan is to give it a 4.785 FD if it does not already have it... And if it does not have the 4.785 FD, will the jdm ITR FD and counter shaft bolt up to it? Thanks in advance for any help!

the final drive in the tranny is 4.40, as far as the ITR gear and shaft bolting up, it should.

Many people say it does and many say it doesnt. I need all the info i can get before i go out and spend $400+ for the FD.. Thanks for the info CRXLVR I really take your word for granted since you have lots of good feedback. Another question is will I have to modify anything? will I need anything else besides the Gear and Counter Shaft?

well im just basing the info that it will since they are both b-series trannies, but know that i think of it, the itr is a hydraulic tranny, so maybe it wont. i dont have any expericence in swapping gear sets out so i cant tell ya for sure.

Yea, there is a difference in the final drives, something about one has three bolts and one has five. But I'll have to check on what you need to replace to put it in.

Whoa, here's a write up on swapping out the fifth gear with a LS fifth...

Still woudln't do it yourself, unless you're comfortable with the possibility of putting a jigsaw puzzle back to gether.
