My reasoning behind the GN/GNX forum is that there are so many GN threads, that they might benefit from their own forum. I believe there are only 1 or 2 GS/GSX threads here, not really useful to have a forum for 2 threads IMO. Prove me wrong if you think theirs more, I cant be bothered to check at the moment.

As the origional owner of an 86 GN I was over joyed to find AF.com and the Regal forum. We do have special needs and it would be nice to not have to bounce around through the threads for GN info.
I vote for a GN/GNX forum.

Are there just not enough Reatta owners? I love those cars and was looking around tonight to find more out about them.

How about something on Reatta still pleanty of them round

There are plenty of reatta's, I know a guy with one. With the exception of you, RedFiero, none of the reatta owning members have posted anything about them. I just don't want to have an empty forum.
But on second thought, you deserve a forum as much as any othe member, and I'll talk to Jake (administrator) about adding a forum for you :)

How about a LeSabre T-Type forum??
tman
10-26-2004, 08:31 PM
T-Type is a trim, similar to GNX/GN. With the high number of threads on GN/GNX, a new forum was necessary.
Justify the need for a new forum, and it's yours.

Well like the GN's and GNX's the LeSabre T's actually have something of a following(lesabret.com) I would hate for that to be the only place to go and talk about these cars on the net, and i know for a fact there are several T-Type owners that browse these forums. And i could try and hook some of the people at lesabret to come to these forums. You're the boss though, if you dont think it's necessary then that's fine.

I asked you to justify it, because I know little about the T-Types, and can't justify the forum myself, because of my ignorance. You see, it's sorta like having different forums for all the trims of chevy trucks, Base, LS, LT, SS. LS and LT are very similar, moreso than others, they are alot the same, except for a few interior trimmings, forcing those with engine troubles to search 2 forums, rather annoying for that user. I just hate to divide forums.
How about this, we rename "GN/GNX" to "GN/GNX/Turbo Buicks"
This will happen only if it doesen't offend the GN/GNX crew. Nothing worse than angry Buick owners...

I don't feel the Stage 1 needs it's own forum. I disagree that the Stage 1 has it's own seperate needs. With the exception of valves, cam, carb, badging, aircleaner decal and distributor, the Stage 1 engine is a Buick 455 from '70 up
Stage 1 GS cars didn't even have the VIN reveal the Stage 1 option on some years, that's how similar the engines are. My Buick club is primarily Buick GS enthusiasts, and no Stage 1 forum is needed, we just have a 400-430-455 forum
I think it makes much more sense to go by engine family than engine options. You'd need a Stage 2 forum, a '69 Stage 1 400, '70 Stage 1 455, etc, etc. Just do it by 400-430-455 family and it will be much less confusing

Not sure how this could be integrated.. how about a "We fixed it" icon posted next to the problem posts. Editable only by the original author. Would be interesting. Might be useful. Or also for good posts that work, like the keyless remotes.
Im thinking of two heads smileys giving a high five!
Thanks.
