I have just bought an 86 Acura Legend with very high miles. It looks great and runs good. the problem is that the speedometer does not work. Is this a simple fix or is it true that it is a couple hundred dollar part? Is there any way I can pull a speedometer out of the junkyard and connect it to it?

Have you even attempted to take the speedo cable apart yet to atleast test it??? Your already buying parts and you don't even know what it is! Start at simple things first,then work your way up or it will be just the simple thing! First I suggest you get a repair book for your model car. I have one for each of my cars.
