Hell yeah I love that anime. the ending sorta sucked though I mean wtf happened was he dreaming the whole thing or what? And did any of you check out that movie? Lol I mean life itself ended and he was left with the red headed chick in a sorta hell. Ah but one must not forget when he killed that kid and that moment of silence fell. Classic

The ending is a "you get it or you don't" kind've thing... it's not explainable and everyone takes something different from it.

Can't decide whether I like NGE or Rurouni Kenshin for the all time favorite though.

This thread name is amazing. Not to sound condescending, but NGE is one of the most popular anime out there. So there's a good chance that other people have watched it. :iceslolan

I like it--it's definitely a great anime, one that doesn't go away as the years progress. I just don't get the amount of voodoo from it as I do from Bebop or X. I do like the characters, and I don't find them "whiny" in the least. Moreover, Shinji, Rei, and Asuka exemplify aspects of our own being. Shinji's self-destructive introvertism, Rei's veil of apathy and indifference, and Asuka's extrovertism, another cover-up for her embitterred soul, ring true. Sure, by themselves they seem somewhat extreme and annoying, but there is something in each of them that, I think, isn't foreign to the viewer.

lol that ending still pissed me the hell off Just like Berserk did. Damn that ending to berserk pissed me off. damn damn damn it pissed me off D:<!!!!!!!

I saw it many years ago. I think it must've been four or five years, maybe longer. I never saw the movie. I think it was an interesting series, I'd probably watch it again, and I'm not much of an anime fan.

hey 2 stroke youve got to see the movie man, they rewrite the last I think 3 eps, lol and its just so bad ass. Its so damn bloody and theres titty WOOH the titty, and the ending is kinda weird lol. But once you see one of those mecha type things brain explodes your hooked.

This is somewhat of an old thread but i'll post anyways since im bored at work and its a friday so i dont feel like doing anything..i got really into this series in the begging ( i borrowed the dvd so I just watched them starigh through) but it got to avant gard (is that the term) , it was way too melodramatic for my test but i can appreciate the amount of detail and the artistic talent that went into this series

You are quickly becoming one of my favorite people.

Evangelion is sort of the anime with a lot of depth to it. but then im not the sort of person to sit around trying to understand the plot of the series. but for me it was alrite jus because of the girls and the blood !!!
