Here's my first attempt to model a nice car. Although I have build some planes and a Revell's Viper in the past. So, this is Fujimi's Nissan 180SX Type X while I wait for a shipment of some other models from HLJ. I did some major mistakes which would't be repeated on next models :icon16:

Right now, the SX is already finished. I'm waiting to get a camera. I'll post pictures in about a week.

if your looking for a grea airbrush kit, search ebay for airbrush city. they make great stuff. i ordered a kit from them, i havent got it yet, it is at my grandpas(next week i get it) but i got a compressor, and 3 airbriushes for 120$

take it one step at a time man you cant rush these things belive me i know . comin good so far tho

I did some minor (experts would say major) mistakes, like not drying the glue enough on the rear window, so it lifted off.
And I also lost exhaust pipe :eek7: Yep, it happens. I'm scratch building it. :smile:

Although I'm very pleased with the final look of the car.
Here I would also thank you all for your cooperation with my questions. Well stay in touch 'cos S200, 300ZX, R33, Civic, ... are headed my way as we speak. :naughty:

Window trim isn't so perfect as would you think youngdrifter_x . I ran in some serious problems, becouse Fujimi don't provide (at least here) maskings for windows. So I used some of the tutorials here. Masked the whole window and then cut-out parts. I did some minor (relative term :) ) scratches on the window.

I learned something. Take your time when building. Don't rush fitting and painting parts (I did :icon16: ). It pays off really well.

ohhh..I was going to do that but..i didnt know how to do it..so i just hand brushed it and it came out nasty!! i'm so disspointed. Your car is aweseome!! what kit is that? is that the one with the yellow car on the box? anyways man it looks nice...My car is almost done. not as good as yours though....

About the tailights: first a painted the round ones with ModeMasters turn signal red metalic. Afterwards I painted the rear of the lights with silver. MISTAKE! Should leave the area around the round lights transparent or paint it red. You should also paint 'light holes' on the body with silver or black.

Here we go. The exhaust is finished. It's very simple and easy to bend aluminium 'pipes'. And here's the result.

And now the bad thing. Yesterday, my girlfriend got really angry at me. We had a minor conflict, but obviusly the pressure was to hi. She toke my 180SX and slammed it on the floor :eek:
Complete suspension, wheel, backmirrors fell off. I hope there's no broken plastic pieces. So I'll have to glue it back together again, but the car will never be the same again ... :sadwavey:

i feel with you with that conflict and it's result. Luckily my girlfriend never destroeyd my models when we argued...and we often argued....
