Just bought this little car, its soooo cute, couldnt pass it up.
Has most people had good experience with this car...hope so,
since I can't do anything about it now. Do you know if this comes
with a "flat" key...I didn't get it.

I bought a 98 used & it didn't come with the flat key either. You can go to your local MB dealer & have them make a flat key for you. I called a locksmith who advertised foreign car keys, and he said he could make an SLK key for $45 - FYI.

Congrats and welcome. I too recently purchased one for my wife (an '03 SLK32) and it is a very fun car. I too wondered about the flat key as I didn't get one either. But on the other hand, my BMW and Audi's came with one but I never used it.

A flat key is just that, a flat key. The key is sans the remote for the alarm and used as an emergency key that you could keep in your wallet.

There is no "flat key" for the SLK. The key is a flip out "A class" key with an ignition barrell instead of an EIS so a "flat key" wouldn't work.
If you're talking about a keyless go "flat key" then no.
