95 Stratus dies at idledstryr 04-04-2004, 10:05 AM I have a 95 Stratus ES 2.5 v6 that has 170,000 miles on it and has lately started to die at idle. It never fails to restart immediately, but may die again 2 or three times or may just keep running until I get to where I need to go. It starts fine, runs great in town and on the highway, burns no oil, and the trans still acts like new. Has anyone experienced this? Is there an idle control circuit board that may be failing? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. MistySue 04-05-2004, 07:39 AM I just bought my 04 Stratus a week ago, and had the same problem and it was a bad spark plug you might want to check and see if that is your cause. Since getting it changed she sure runs faster than she did before with no problems. jeremyminter 04-14-2004, 01:27 AM I had problems with the Stratus dieing every once and awhile and I ended up putting a new distributor in it and that cured it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
