best-run-about car?gigglesnirt 04-04-2004, 01:53 AM what do you think would be the best car for trashing, i mean like going over speedbumps at 60 and all that, and just jumping and whatever, and the car would have to be 500$ or under, im thinking an old accord or civic, maybe something else. aznxthuggie 04-04-2004, 05:22 AM yea just get some old civic, they maybe a lil slower than accords.. but they are alot lighter like 500lb or so, and the engines can take a beating, also the parts/engines are everywhere the most simple ones cost $600 for engine+labor Vettribution 04-04-2004, 11:11 AM My buddy had a 69 four door Nova in high school. It was a cheap rusty beat up machine.. But we put that thing through hell. The 350 in it was enough to power its weight to considerable enough speed when we took it offroading on jumps. (Nothing special, just some stuff behind stores that was undeveloped land.. Some kids built some bike jumps that we destroyed over time through making it a Nova jump.) Its a big metal car, so its not easily destroyed if you bang it up. Just my three cents. deadlight 04-04-2004, 11:49 AM Have you seen the CRX vid somebody I think it was ricochet, posted in COT? It went 26 min. at WOT with no coolant or no oil. I'd choose a CRX, or a 4 dr. Civic, where are you at? My friend has a Civic that he rolled but still runs so he chopped the top off of it and we beat the hell out of it in the country every now and then. gigglesnirt 04-04-2004, 12:13 PM i am in park city utah, its like 20 minutes from salt lake city and there is one street near my friends house that is downhill, and has a lot of speedbumnps that can catch air easily o have you seen the video with the guys who were jumping the litle honda, and the guy jumps it over a hill, rolls it, and it lands right next to the highway in a big wreck, but gets out alive i dont have the video though, but i've seen it around deadlight 04-04-2004, 12:20 PM Can't say I've seen that video, sounds good though. I realized you were in Utah right after I posted, but anyways, that would be good location anyways, go out into the desert with it. MR2Driver 04-04-2004, 06:13 PM An old Crown Vic LTD just flies over speed bumps like they are cracks in the road... gigglesnirt 04-04-2004, 11:14 PM ya that was an option, but kinda hard to find here vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
