As above, I've got a Nismo twin plate clutch from r33 GTR which I would like to fit to a r32 GTR. Can anyone tell me if this is possible before I rip the whole thing apart.

Conversely, will a standard r32 GTR clutch go back into the r33 GTR?

Maybe!

There was a change from push to pull type clutch in 91/08 with the R32 (I could have that the worng way round)

If the 32 is AFTER 91/08 then yes....it should work ok, if not then it'll be a bit of a mission.

It's a 92, but I'll have to check the exact build date.

What about putting the standard 32 GTR clutch back int he 33?

Is your NISMO clutch a pull or push type? I know that nimso makes the pull type clutches so they will install with no problem. If it is a push type, you will need the "pull to push adapter" before you can install it. It isn't hard at all to install.:smoker:

I don't know if it's the pull or push type. Is there any way of checking without pulling it apart?

The clutch was purchased new for a 96 33 GTR. What would be the standard type?

They will interchange but you need to interchange clutch operating mechanisms for both eg slave cylinders, throw out bearing, pivot shaft and front gearbox throw out bearing runner, or swap the 2 gearboxes completly over that is easier.

Sounds as though it's not worth the effort.

My main gripe with the Nismo is the life of it and the cost of rebuilding it. I'm lucky to get eight months out of the clutch, and the plates can't be re bonded.

If anyone know anyone in Oz that can rebond the plates, let me know.
