I love going fast but doing it right to get there is important. so i have a friend with a wrx and he wants to pull 500-700 hp out of it. now somebody told him that that sti engine can do that(with stock internals).
Im sorry but cast pistons dont do that kind of power. so if anybody can give me some good info on the sti and wrx hp limits with stock and modified internals plz let me know. or any problems with mods. o-ya same goes for trans. thanks

there were some videos of a an austrailian 500HP WRX floating around here somewhere. That thing seemed like it could break all four wheels loose really easy...why go for the 200 after that?

Sti 6-speed can handle all that power and if it happens to break, get a 6 speed sychro-less dog box. As for the Sti being able to handle 500 - 700 on stock internals, i wouldnt doubt it. 700 is a little high of a number and the wrx's dont need that much power to show 10's on the 1/4 mile.

forged internals wouldn't hurt, but 500-700hp with the stock ones isn't impossible.

There was guy who had a 850whp WRX with stock internals, and the tranny went on him before the engine went. (But the engine did pop, thats what happens when you boost in the high 30's)
