vip majest 4 hour buildjdmhotrod 04-01-2004, 09:39 PM hey guys, i wanted to see how fast i could build a model so i built this model in four hours, lol. it is mettalic blue and camel. it has a flat whit interior with little detial as i was using the dark tinted windows this kit came with but they got messed up so the interior looks dull, but i will fix that soon. i messed with the suspenion to get more camber and to lower the front suspenion as it sat to high with lots of positive camber so it requried about half of the four hours to fix. well heres the pics. http://www.imageshack.us/img2/6789/majesta1.JPG http://www.imageshack.us/img2/2438/majesta3.JPG http://www.imageshack.us/img2/4515/majesta5.JPG tonioseven 04-01-2004, 09:42 PM Okay, now take it apart and take your time with it... SchuberT 04-01-2004, 09:44 PM nice, i really only have beef with the extreme camber of the wheels... good build tho willimo 04-01-2004, 10:38 PM Okay, now take it apart and take your time with it... Indeed. nervestrikes 04-02-2004, 09:02 AM Yeah, I am going to have to agree with Tonioseven, take it apart and take your time. It's a vip so you have to represent. I love these cars. Otherwise I must say good job for four hours. How did the paint dry so fast? http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/826349A12.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/740668A15.jpg mike united 04-02-2004, 09:12 AM Looks good BUT............... Okay, now take it apart and take your time with it... :iagree: Later, Mike. :smokin: jgmodelcars 04-02-2004, 09:19 AM Okay, now take it apart and take your time with it... agree.... i mean i like the whole concept and all the colors u chose i'd just like to see you build it.... uhm how do you say.... not fast. good work for 4 hrs though. supermod04 04-02-2004, 09:23 AM looking nice, a few problem areas, like the camber, the huge exhuast, and the 2 tone. it is really nice for 4 hours, but i agreee you should rebuild it, with your best work ywwong 04-02-2004, 09:25 AM ahhh..... ok... no comment haha. jgmodelcars 04-02-2004, 09:30 AM the huge exhuast, and the 2 tone both of these features are part of VIP style, not so much the 2 tone though it is popular but the exhaust especially. vip cars are largely driven by japanese mafia members and they have incredibly big and loud exhaust almost to the point of annoyance. thats why the exhaust looks so big... style wise this car is spot on! supermod04 04-02-2004, 09:32 AM ok lol, i like the 2 tone color if it was diffrent color, and i had no idea about some mafia car LOL jdmhotrod 04-02-2004, 05:32 PM the car is now waiting to be taken apart and rebuilt. the paint will stay the same but i will repaint detial the interior in darker colors and badge and decal the car body. i agree with all you guys, so it will be rebuilt, i just needed something to tie me over untill my 15 model package showed up (witch it did today ) after i am done with all the cars i am working on at the moment i will dig into this one. ohh and the trick to get the paint dry to touch in 4 hours is to use plasti-kote auto paint with h.o.k clear everything should be touchable in less than 4 hours. thanks for the few good comments, lol. Robert Lugo. SpoonMan Dos 04-02-2004, 05:43 PM the trick to get the paint dry to touch in 4 hours is to use plasti-kote auto paint with h.o.k clear everything should be touchable in less than 4 hours. Robert Lugo. My quick paint drying tip is to get a dehydrator. One hour or less, there's a thread somewhere about it. tonioseven 04-02-2004, 06:24 PM The model wasn't built bad at all but we know you have the skill to make it look excellent!:sunglasse Howielong 04-02-2004, 10:31 PM Man that is some major camber. 86_SR5 04-02-2004, 10:48 PM I like it!
