RB20DET inot s13 silvia

so im planning on putting a RB20DET into my s13 silva (i have a R32 gtst fromt cut), but i figured that first i should do sum research and find out just how hard it is, so if any one has done this before any advise or tips would be good :)

The info that i have managed to get so far is that i need a R32 cross member and engin mounts (they will bolt straight up into my s13?) and that i will need to get my s13 drive shaft shortened for it to mate up with the R32 box? then there is things like exaust and intercooler piping ect

is this info correct and is there any thing else that i will need to modify/get?

and info would be much appreaciated

Here's a link to a how to for the S14 with an RB25. Enven though it's the S14 and the RB25, all of the info still applies. There were no major changes between the S13 and S14 other then the body shape. That's why the front ends between those models can be swapped.

You've got the right info with the R32 cross member. If you install an RB engine into an S13 you use the R32 crossmember, and if it's in an S14, the R33.

This is the most detailed swap write-up I've seen.

you would want to talk to the people who have the same car as you, who've done the swap...

i did it... its pretty simple... i don't really have a walkthrough guide, but it's pretty straight forward... take motor out, swap x-members and mounts, drop RB20 and rewire...

as for the driveshaft... i used my KA driveshaft and it works fine...

as for the piping for the IC... i had to cut a hole for the IC piping to fit... the SMIC will bolt on the side and will be held up by 2 screws and the piping...
