90' V6 Camry spark plug crossthreadedhollbaq 03-31-2004, 03:12 PM I have one spark plug that is crossthreaded. I need to know if I am up @%$ creek. Or is there any thing I can do. yotatechie04 03-31-2004, 04:49 PM It can be fixed. You're not completely screwed yet. -- Notice I said yet though. You'll either need to buy a tap and die set, or find someone who has one. These tools are made specifically to clean and rethread a stripped or crossthreaded hole. If this doesn't fix your problem, then you will need to have the block taken to a machine shop. Brian R. 03-31-2004, 05:19 PM "then you will need to have the block taken to a machine shop" head, not block :) yotatechie04 04-01-2004, 12:42 AM Oops! My bad. Didn't mean to cause any confusion there. I meant head. Thanks for the correction Brian! Brian R. 04-01-2004, 01:17 AM Eating mental beans causes mental farts... I think you were remembering the good old days when engines were engines and men were glad of it (or something like that). yotatechie04 04-01-2004, 03:26 PM  Yeah, brain fart. I've been getting those way too much here lately. Brian R. 04-01-2004, 08:57 PM np - I'm sure you'll have abundant opportunities to keep me honest... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
