88 Lesabre motor mountsVancouver_TType 03-31-2004, 12:49 AM Just wondering if anyone out there in Buick Land has a cure for my crappy engine mounts. Its a 88 Lesabre TType. I love it dearly and spend more than enough money on it. I drive it hard though, and because the design only has two mounts at the bottom and nothing up top (like a dog bone), I keep torquing them apart. I just keep replacing the stock ones....and they suck. Aside from driving more conservatively, what else can I do? tman 03-31-2004, 07:14 AM Do you think you could maybe add another motor mount near the top? Other than that you're probably SOL. I like the BuickLand comment though. Great way to start my day, so thanks to you, my friend. Lasota 04-02-2004, 08:17 PM I have never tried this on a FWD but I have put a piece of chain from the frame rail to the top of the engine to stop it from tearing mounts apart on a RWD. We used to use chain because it would not transmit engine vibrations to the frame. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
